After leaving Art College, I worked as an art director for advertising agencies mainly in London and Bristol. I became creative director for a global e-commerce company, and managed a creative department of web designers, developers and information architects. After the implosion of the dot com sector, and the mass redundancies within the company, I thought it was time to do something else. I briefly entered the world of software sales. Unfortunately this was an unwise decision. I was let go on more than one occasion.
My career changed the day I walked into my local library and I noticed a fine art course was advertising for students. I always wanted to learn to paint in oil colour, so I enrolled straight away. Since leaving the group I have taught painting in schools, I have had private exhibitions in London, and I was the artist in residence at Polesden Lacey which is part of the National Trust.
My intention is to also facilitate adult classes. Please look out for my blogs that will provide more details on this initiative, or if you prefer, please contact me directly to discuss your requirements.
